Add Users

Before users can access the features of SAS Customer Intelligence 360, their user profile must be created in the application. The Users page lists all of the users that are currently defined. To add users, you can add a row for each user and specify their information, or you can import multiple users simultaneously by uploading a .csv file.

Add a User and Specify User Information

To add a user:

  1. Click AdministrationAdministrationthen selectGeneral. Click Users in User Management.
  2. Click New user to add a user.
  3. In the Add Users window, complete these steps:
    1. In the Name column, enter a valid email address for the user.
Note: Ensure that you have a valid email address for every tenant user that you want to add.

The email address that you add for the new user must match the email address in the user’s SAS profile. This is the same email address that the new user uses to sign in.

    2. The Type column displays these options:
      • User
      • Admin

For any users that are added, the default type is User. To change the default type, select a user, and select Admin.

    3. Define roles for users. A user role provides access rights to specific menu items and pages in the user interface.
      1. Select one or more users and click Roles. In the Add Roles window, the selected check boxes show any existing roles of the selected user. Inherited user indicates the inherited roles. If you selected multiple users, their existing roles are not shown.
TipEnter a keyword in the search box, or click Advanced filter to search and filter the options.
      2. Select one or more roles to add for the selected user, and then click OK.
Note: When a user is created from the Users page in SAS Customer Intelligence 360, the application requires that at least one role or inherited role is assigned to the user before you save the user information. No default roles are assigned when a user is created.
    4. (Optional) Add users to a group. User groups enable you to apply an action to several people at one time.
      1. Select one or more users and click Groups. If you selected a single user, in the Select Groups window, the selected check boxes show the existing groups for that user. If you selected multiple users, their existing groups are not shown.
TipEnter a keyword in the search box, or click Advanced filter to search and filter the options.
      2. Select one or more groups to add for the selected user, and then click OK.
    5. Click Save after you add the user information. The users that you created are displayed.

When a user is added, by default, the user status is marked as Active and an email notification is sent to the user. The application sends an email with the subject “Welcome to SAS Customer Intelligence 360!” and provides instructions for how to sign in.

Note: This welcome email is sent automatically and cannot be disabled.
    6. (Optional) To disable an active user, click the Mark Active toggle. The user's status is updated to Suspended.
    7. (Optional) Send a follow-up welcome email to users. You might send this additional email after you have modified users and roles or if users missed the initial email.
