Send Job Summary Notifications for On-Premises Segment Maps

About Job Summary Notifications

Job summary notifications enable you to define a list of email recipients who are notified when an on-premises segment map finishes processing. The notification email includes information about successes and failures. Navigate to the OrchestrationJob Summary Notifications page to view which global recipients are already listed.

There are two ways to add a person as a recipient:

• An administrator creates a global list of users for on-premises segment maps. These users are listed in the Global default recipients as configured in Administration field and cannot be modified within a segment map. These users receive job summary notifications for all on-premises segment maps.

  Note: The email addresses in this field are only a snapshot of the current list from AdministrationGeneral SettingsSystem ConfigurationJob Summary Notifications. When the segment map is run, notifications are sent to the email addresses that are specified in the general settings at that time.

  The email addresses in this field are only a snapshot of the current list from the Job Summary Notifications page in AdministrationGeneral. When the segment map is run, notifications are sent to the email addresses that are specified in the general settings at that time.

• A distribution address or a user can be added in the Segment-specific email distribution lists field. The entries in this field are added to the list of recipients who receive notifications for this on-premises segment map.

Adding Recipients to Job Summary Notifications

1. Navigate to the OrchestrationJob Summary Notifications page of the on-premises segment.
2. Add each email address that you want to send notifications to in the Segment-specific email distribution lists field. You can add multiple recipients, but you must press ENTER after entering each email address.

   It is recommended that you use only email distribution lists—instead of individual email addresses—for the settings of the segment map. If you update the recipients for the segment map, you must republish the segment map.

   Note: If you specify email addresses for individual users in the field, make sure that the email addresses are not included in any distribution list that is also in the field.
