Configuring General Settings

Specify Currency Settings

To select the currency:

1. Click Administration Plan. Click Configurations in Planning.

2. In the Currency Settings section, select the currency for the planning item:
   • To add currencies to the In Use list, click and select a currency. Click OK.

     Only the currencies that are listed on the In Use tab are available while creating planning items. You can add multiple currencies to make them available for selection in new planning items.

   • Select a default currency. This currency is selected by default when you create a planning item.
   • You can mark a currency obsolete if that currency is not in use.

Replace a Currency

Currencies for a planning item can be changed or replaced in rare cases such as acquisition, a change in the location of the headquarters, and so on. You can modify the settings and replace the selected currency with another currency.

If the existing currency is being used by multiple planning items, you can initiate a batch job and automatically update the existing planning items all at once or you can update the currency for new planning items only.

To replace a currency:

1. Click Administration Plan. Click Configurations in Planning.

2. In the Currency Settings section, select the currency that you want to replace.
3. Click .
4. Select a new currency and click OK. The existing currency is replaced with the selected currency.
5. If the existing currency is used by multiple planning items, click Apply all changes to existing items to update the currency.
6. Click Save when you are prompted to save the new currency settings.

   The currency list is updated and the existing currency is moved to the Archived tab. The replaced currency is no longer available for selection when creating planning items.

7. In the Update Currency window, select the check box to replace the currency for the existing planning items.

   Click Run to initiate a batch job that updates the currency for multiple planning items at once.

8. Click to view the status and job information for the batch job that you initiated.
