PARTITION Procedure

The BY statement specifies classification variables to use for stratification. There is no limit on the BY variables for stratified sampling or k-fold partitioning, but only one BY variable is allowed for oversampling. If the TARGET statement is specified, each target variable is combined with the BY variables for stratification in order to perform stratified partitioning.
