One common reason for the failure is the Task option is set to a value other than Diagnose. The Diagnose task must be run first.
If the project has been imported, it could have been exported with the task not set to Diagnose.
Set the Task option to Diagnose and run the modeling node. After this task is run, you can select any other task and run the node without error. These settings are described in Task Settings.
