Grafana Dashboard Reference
Although SAS provides several Grafana dashboards for visualizing SAS Viya metrics, many of them display information that is useful only to a Kubernetes administrator. Your Kubernetes administrator might set up your monitoring environment so that you have access only to the dashboards that are useful to you as a SAS administrator.
Dashboards for SAS Administrators
These dashboards provide metrics for SAS Viya components. They provide information that is useful for SAS administrators.
- PostgreSQL

displays performance and usage metrics for one or more PostgreSQL databases. Use the PGCluster field at the top of the dashboard to select the database whose metrics you want to view.
- PostgreSQL Database

displays performance and usage metrics for one or more PostgreSQL databases. Use the Database field at the top of the dashboard to select the databases whose metrics you want to view.
- RabbitMQ-Overview

displays performance and usage metrics for RabbitMQ, which collects metric data.
- SAS CAS Overview

displays CPU usage and memory usage as open files for a selected CAS server. Use the CAS Server menu at the top of the dashboard to select a CAS server.
- SAS Go Service Details

displays performance and usage metrics for a selected SAS Viya service that is written in Go or for all SAS Go services. Use the Application menu to select the service whose metrics you want to view.
- SAS Java Services

displays performance and usage metrics for a selected SAS Viya service that is written in Java or for all SAS Java services. Use the Application menu to select the service whose metrics you want to view.
- SAS Launched Jobs — Node Activity

displays information organized by node about SAS jobs that use the launcher service. The report displays the number of jobs that are pending and running, the amount CPU and memory that are used by jobs, and the network I/O of the jobs. It also charts the workload distribution by node and the CPU and memory usage by node. You can filter the results to display information for only specified namespaces (SAS Viya deployments), nodes, job types, users, and jobs. - SAS Launched Jobs — User Activity

displays information organized by user about SAS jobs that use the launcher service. The report displays the number of jobs that are pending and running, the amount CPU and memory that are used by jobs, and the network I/O of the jobs. Dashboards for SAS Viya Monitoring for Kubernetes Components
These dashboards provide performance metrics for components that are included by the SAS Viya Monitoring for Kubernetes solution for monitoring and logging.
- Alerts

provides information about alerts that are triggered in Prometheus. This dashboard is the only way to view alerts in Grafana. For detailed information about the alerts, use Alertmanager.
- ElasticSearch

if the logging solution that is provided by SAS was deployed, provides metrics for the OpenSearch process. If you have other instances of OpenSearch, you must create a Service Monitor to enable the metrics for that instance to be displayed on this dashboard.
- Logging - Fluent Bit

if the logging solution that is provided by SAS was deployed, provides metrics for the Fluent Bit process. This dashboard enables you to see which pods have unusually high levels of logging activity, which can then help you better filter log messages in OpenSearch Dashboards.
If you have other instances of Fluent Bit, you must create a Service Monitor to enable the metrics for that instance to be displayed on this dashboard.
