Copying Variables While Fetching Images

This section contains Python code. For more information about coding in Python, see Getting Started with SAS Viya for Python and SAS Viya: System Programming Guide.

The following Python code uses the fetchImages action to produce a results table from the imgs CAS table. The resulting table contains the image data along with image width and height. If the label information is available in the input table, it is copied to the output table. In addition to these default variables, any number of variables can be transferred to the resulting table by specifying the fetchImagesVars parameter. In this example, the interestingVariable and moreInterestingVariable variables are transferred to the resulting table. This code assumes that the imgs table is loaded in advance.

s.image.fetchImages(
    table = 'imgs',
    fetchImagesVars=['interestingVariable','moreInterestingVariable']
)
