End-of-Life Notice: Task (XML) Prompts

In previous releases of SAS Studio, XML prompts (also called task prompts) were used in SAS jobs. In SAS Studio, the task (XML) prompts will reach end-of-life in SAS Studio in the 2025.06 stable release. You will still be able to run these prompts in the SAS Job Execution Web Application.

SAS recommends users convert any existing task (XML) prompts to step (JSON) prompts as soon as possible. Currently in SAS Studio, you can view and edit step (JSON) prompts. You will be able to run these prompts in SAS Studio in a future release. You can run the step (JSON) prompts in SAS Visual Analytics and SAS for Microsoft 365.
