TSINFO Procedure
Example 28.1 Examining a Monthly Time ID Variable and Inferring a Date Interval
This example illustrates how a time ID variable can be inferred from data when a sufficient number of observations are present.
The following DATA step loads the Air data set onto the CAS server. These statements assume that your CAS engine libref is named mylib, but you can substitute any appropriately defined CAS engine libref.
data mylib.air(replace=yes);
set sashelp.air;
run;
The following TSINFO procedure statements generate an ODS display of the time series that characterizes interval counts, alignment, and seasonality in the time ID variable:
proc tsinfo data=mylib.air outintervaldetails=mylib.interval2 nthreads=2;
id date align=B;
run;
There are 144 observations in the mylib.Air data table. The 144 observations are enough to determine that the Date time ID variable is represented by the MONTH interval.
