Introduction

This example deletes a custom decision node type. This example includes code that uses a filter to retrieve the definition of a specific node type based on the node type name, and retrieves the ID of that node type from the response. If you already know the ID for the node type that you want to delete, you can substitute an assignment statement for the steps that get the node list and retrieve the type ID.

IMPORTANT Segmentation trees are defined as a custom node type. The list always includes segmentation trees even if you have not defined any custom node types. Do not delete the segmentation tree node type. If this type is deleted, users cannot create new segmentation trees.

If the segmentation tree node type is accidentally deleted, ask your system administrator to stop and restart the Decisions service.
