CAEFFECT Procedure

TREATVAR Statement

  • TREATVAR treatment-variable </treatment-options> ;

The TREATVAR statement specifies information about the treatment variable. For all the estimation methods, you must specify the name of the treatment-variable.

You can specify the following treatment-options after a slash (/):

CONDEVENT='treatment-level'
EVENT='treatment-level'

specifies the estimation of conditional potential outcome means and the observed treatment-level to condition on. This treatment-level must appear in a potential outcome specification. Conditional potential outcome mean estimation is supported only for the IPW and REGADJ estimation methods. For more information about the definition of causal effects, see the section Potential Outcomes and Effect Definitions.

COUNTMISSING

treats missing values (".", ".A", . . . , ".Z" for numeric variables and blanks for character variables) as valid values of the treatment variable.

LEVELIZERAW

bases the levelization of the treatment variable on raw values.

MAXLEV=number

specifies the maximum number of levels for the treatment variable. The number 0 means an unlimited number of levels.
