QUANTMEDIMAGES Procedure

QUANTITIES Statement

  • QUANTITIES <options>;

The QUANTITIES statement specifies the quantities to be computed for the images. For more information about some of these quantities and their corresponding options, see the section Supported Quantities.

You must specify at least one of the following options:

BOUNDINGBOX

computes the bounding box of each component in an image.

COMPONENTCOUNT

computes the number of components in an image.

CONTENT (content-option)

computes the total area or volume of foreground pixels in an image or pixels in a component.

You can specify the following content-option in parentheses:

USESPACING

specifies that image spacing should be used in computations.

By default, the USESPACING content-option is not used.

DICE (dice-options)

computes the Dice coefficient between a segmentation image and a ground-truth image.

You can specify the following dice-options in parentheses:

DIMENSION=variable

specifies the name of the image table column that contains image dimensions.

By default, DIMENSION=_dimension_.

IMAGE=variable

specifies the name of the image table column that contains image binaries.

By default, IMAGE=_image_.

IMAGEFORMAT=variable

specifies the name of the image table column that contains formats of image binaries.

By default, IMAGEFORMAT=_imageFormat_.

RESOLUTION=variable

specifies the name of the image table column that contains image resolutions.

By default, RESOLUTION=_resolution_.

HISTOGRAM (histogram-options)

creates a histogram of the values of pixels in each image in an image table.

You can specify the following histogram-options in parentheses:

BINS=number

specifies the number of histogram bins to use in the algorithm.

By default, BINS=256.

MAX=number

specifies the maximum value to use in the histogram.

By default, MAX=255.

MIN=number

specifies the minimum value to use in the histogram.

By default, MIN=0.

MAXIMUM

computes the maximum value of a pixel in an image or image component.

MEAN

computes the mean value of a pixel in an image or image component.

MINIMUM

computes the minimum value of a pixel in an image or image component.

PERIMETER

computes the surface boundary of each component. For 2-D images, the perimeter is computed. For 3-D images, the surface area is computed.

STD

computes the standard deviation of the values of pixels in an image or image component.
