Exporting Projects

You can export projects to your local drive and import them to another SAS Visual Forecasting deployment. SAS administrators can export any project. Users who are not SAS administrators can export only the projects that they own.

The remote deployment must have access to the same data sources as the original project. If the project has any pending overrides, they cannot be included in the downloaded project.

For any modeling nodes that have a Task setting (for example, Auto-forecasting or Hierarchical Forecasting), make sure the task is set to Diagnose.

  1. From the SAS Model Studio Projects page, select one or more projects to export.
Note: The number of projects you can export for a single operation is limited based on available resources. If you want to export multiple projects, consider using the ad hoc backup service as described in Perform an Ad Hoc Backup in SAS Viya Platform: Backup and Restore.
  2. Click the menu icon (menu icon) over the right side of the project list and select Export.

A message indicates that the project is being prepared for export.

  3. When the project is ready for export, select the location on your local drive for the project. If multiple projects are selected, repeat this step until all selected projects are downloaded.
