Descriptive Statistics (OUTSUM)

This table contains the summary statistics for the dependent and independent variables. These statistics are also listed as Descriptive Statistics under the attributes on the Data tab and in the Filters pane for the Time Series Viewer and Forecast Viewer.

You can use these attributes to create filtersa set of specified criteria that are applied to data in order to identify the subset of data for a subsequent operation, such as continued processing. in all of the viewers. See Creating Filters for more information.

This table includes all of the BY variables assigned to the project and the following statistics.

Starting Time ID for Series

START

the starting date of each time series. In the Filters pane, you can select among the range of starting dates that have been collected from the time series.

Ending Time ID for Series

END

the ending date of each time series. In the Filters pane, you can select among the range of ending dates that have been collected from the time series.

Time Series Length

NOBS

the number of observations, including observations with missing values, in each input time series

Number of Nonmissing Values

N

the number of observations in each time series that do not have missing values in each input time series

Number of Missing Values

NMISS

the number of observations in each time series that have missing values. In the Filters pane, you can select among the range of missing values that have been collected from the time series.

Minimum Value of Series

MIN

the smallest value of observations in each time series. In the Filters pane, you can select among the range of minimum values that have been collected from the time series.

Maximum Value of Series

MAX

the largest value of observations in each time series. In the Filters pane, you can select among the range of maximum values that have been collected from the time series.

Mean Value of Series

MEAN

the mean value of observations in each time series. In the Filters pane, you can select among the range of mean values that have been collected from the time series.

Standard Deviation of Series

STDDEV

the standard deviation of observations in each time series. In the Filters pane, you can select among the range of standard deviation values that have been collected from the time series.

Condition Code for Series

_STATUS_

a value that indicates whether analysis for each time series was successful. You can select one or more of the following conditions.

  • 0 - Analysis was successful
  • 3000 - Accumulation failed
  • 4000 - Missing value interpretation failed
  • 6000 - Series is all missing
  • 9000 - Descriptive statistics could not be computed

Sum of Series

SUM

This variable is not included with the Descriptive statistics on the Data tab.

Starting Time Index for Series

STARTOBS

the beginning observation number of each series

This variable is not included with the Descriptive statistics on the Data tab.

Ending Time Index for Series

ENDOBS

the ending observation number of each series

This variable is not included with the Descriptive statistics on the Data tab.
