Error Message When Selecting a Time Series from the Modeling Tab of Interactive Modeling

From the Modeling tab of Interactive Modeling, the following message is displayed:

Model "model_name" requires the input "input_name", but it is not available in the project as an independent variable.

This message can occur for a time seriesan aggregation of transactional data into specified time intervals and sorted according to unique combinations of the default attributes (BY variables) that is selected in the right pane. A custom ARIMA model has been created for the time series using one or more independent variables as inputs. After the custom model was created, the independent variable was reassigned on the Data tab and is no longer an independent variable. The custom model fails and the table with the model selection list is empty.

Solution

You have two options:

• Reassign the variable as an independent variable and rerun the Interactive Modeling node.
• Remove the Interactive Modeling node, and then add it back again. You can re-create the ARIMA model without the independent variable and rerun the Interactive Modeling node.
