About Default Map Properties

The Investigation Content Pack property on the Properties tab enables you to define some default values to be used in map searches configured for the Organization-Defined Searches control. For more information about configuring searches for this control, see Adding Organization-Defined Searches.

Set the Default Map Properties

1. In the Manage Investigate and Search interface, on the application toolbar, click Properties.
2. In the list of configurable properties, double-click Investigation Content Pack.

   The Investigation Content Pack Properties window appears:

   
3. In the Default slider radius field, enter the radius that you want map searches to default to in the Organization-Defined Searches control.
4. In the Maximum slider radius field, enter the maximum value for the search radius in the Organization-Defined Searches control and in the My Searches control.
5. Select either Kilometers or Miles as the unit of measurement.
6. In the Default latitude field and Default longitude field, enter coordinates for where you want the map to be centered by default for map searches in the Organization-Defined Searches control.
7. Click OK.
