Critical Changes
NVIDIA JetPack 5 No Longer Supported as of April 2026
NVIDIA JetPack 5 is a software development kit (SDK) that is used to develop and deploy AI‑powered applications on NVIDIA Jetson edge devices. This SDK includes the CUDA and TensorRT libraries. SAS Event Stream Processing currently supports NVIDIA JetPack 5. Beginning with the 2026.04 release, NVIDIA JetPack 5 will no longer be supported. To continue developing and deploying AI‑powered applications on NVIDIA Jetson edge devices with SAS Event Stream Processing 2026.04, you must use NVIDIA JetPack 6.
New Authentication Method for SAS Viya Orders API
The authentication method for the SAS Viya Orders API has changed. When you use SAS Event Stream Processing Standalone Installer (ESI), ensure that you follow the steps for obtaining SAS Viya Orders API credentials. Failure to do so results in ESI not being able to obtain your SAS license file and details of container images. Read more
New Model Context Protocol (MCP) Example
The MCP example has been added to SAS Event Stream Processing Studio Examples GitHub. This example is based on the existing Sailing example and includes MCP tools that a large language model (LLM) can use to interact with the project. You can access this example from SAS Event Stream Processing Studio: click "View example projects" on the Projects page and select "Sailing with MCP". Read more
Support for Gitea
SAS Event Stream Processing Studio now supports remote Git repositories that are stored in Gitea. This enhancement provides additional flexibility for organizations that want to reduce costs by deploying a self-hosted Git solution. Read more
Support for Harbor
SAS Event Stream Manager now supports Harbor as a container registry. This enhancement provides additional flexibility for organizations that use SAS Event Stream Manager to create containers. Read more
Support for Contour in SAS Event Stream Processing Standalone Installer (ESI)
ESI now supports Contour as the Kubernetes ingress controller. Previously only ingress-nginx was supported. Read more
New Option for Resizing Images in Calculate Windows
When you are processing image data, the resizeType parameter now has a new parameter value called keep_aspect_ratio_with_padding. When you use this option, if the resized image does not exactly match the specified dimensions, padding is added to the remaining area to produce the requested output size. Read more
Enhancements to Connectors and Adapters
New restartonerror Parameter in All Connectors
All publisher connectors and subscriber connectors now have a new parameter called restartonerror. This parameter specifies whether to restart the connector when it stops due to an error. The connector restarts only if the error occurs after the connector reaches the running state. Read more
Enhancement to IBM WebSphere MQ Connector and Adapter
The IBM WebSphere MQ connector and adapter now supports authentication with a user name and a password. You can use the mquser, mqpassword, and mqpasswordencrypted parameters. Read more
Enhancement to Video Capture Connector and Adapter
The Video Capture subscriber connector and subscriber adapter have a new optional parameter called filters. This parameter enables you to specify the FFmpeg filters to apply on received frames. Previously, the filters parameter was available only in the Video Capture publisher connector and publisher adapter. Read more
Change to the np_array_to_tensor Function
When you use the np_array_to_tensor function to convert a NumPy array to an ESP tensor, the dtype parameter is no longer needed and is ignored. Read more
