Support for Google Cloud Storage in the SAS Viya Platform
For system requirements, see System Requirements for the SAS Viya Platform.
The SAS Viya platform can access data that is stored in Google Cloud Storage by providing two main components:
- The Google Cloud Storage Data Source data connector enables you to use the CASLIB statement to connect SAS Cloud Analytic Services (CAS) with your data source. For the supported file types, see Path-Based Data Source Types and Options.
- The FILENAME Statement: Google Cloud Storage (GCS) Access Method in SAS Global Statements: Reference enables you to connect SAS Compute Server with your data source.
The following resource might also be helpful: The Parquet LIBNAME statement enables you to connect SAS Compute Server with Parquet tables in Google Cloud Storage or in Amazon S3.
Example: Add a Google Cloud Storage Caslib
cas auto;
caslib gcs
datasource=(
srctype="gcs"
bucket="mybucket"
gcsauthfile="myGCSauthfile"
);
