Getting Started

The DYNBNET procedure uses the values of observed variables to calculate beliefs in hidden variables. You can use it to estimate unknown failure probabilities of components in a system of interacting parts in various settings. Probabilities of hidden faults are estimated and can be flagged for possible intervention well before a system shuts down with a severe malfunction. Other scenarios are possible where detection of shifts in modes of operation is useful in a system of interacting components. In such scenarios, you can estimate the probabilities of different modes of operation as these modes evolve over time.
