SAS Model Studio consists of three software products:
SAS administrators can set up access to each software product in SAS Model Studio by creating user groups and defining which software the groups can access. Users in each group can access only the software to which their group has been added in the configuration for the Advanced Analytics Gateway service. The configuration properties have the following names:
VML Group
Identifier for access to SAS Viya: Machine
LearningVF Group
Identifier for access to SAS Visual
ForecastingVTA Group
Identifier for access to SAS Visual Text
AnalyticsOnly one group can be added to any of these group identifiers. If there is no group added to one of the group identifiers, then anyone with access to SAS Viya can access that software.
If you make any changes to the user groups, the Analytics Gateway service must be restarted to pick up the changes.
Adding a user group to one of these group
identifiers prevents users who are not in that group from using that software. For
example,
adding the user group Group1 to the configuration property VML Group
Identifier prevents all users who are not in Group1 from using SAS
Viya: Machine Learning. When users who are not in Group1 try to import or create a
new
project, only Text Analytics and Forecasting projects are available. If you define
user
groups for all three of the group identifiers, users who are not included in any of
those
groups cannot use SAS
Model Studio.
Follow these steps to set up access to the software in SAS Model Studio.
All existing users should be assigned to newly created user groups before assigning the group identifiers in the gateway configurations in the next steps.
