Adding Events to Interactive Modeling

You can add eventsan incident that disrupts the normal flow of any process that generates the time series. Examples of events are holidays, retail promotions, and natural disasters. to the Interactive Modeling node. Follow these steps.

  1. Navigate to the Pipelines tab.
  2. Right-click the Interactive Modeling node and select Modify event usage. The project events are listed.
  3. Select an event that you want to include in system-generated models.
  4. In the right pane, specify how the event should be used under Usage in system-generated models.
    Try to use

Include the event in the model as long as the parameters of the events are significant and the increment of the value of the criterion exceeds a specified threshold.

    Use if significant

Include the event in the model as long as the parameters of the events are significant.

    Force use

Include the event in the model as long as the model does not fail to be diagnosed.

Any event defined as Do not use is not used by the Interactive Modeling node for system-generated models. These events can still be added to custom models in Interactive Modeling.

  5. When you are finished adding events, click Close and run Interactive Modeling again.
Note: The usage of independent variables and events in system-generated ARIMA models are automatically set to Force to use if their inclusion does not cause the model to fail.
