Working with Pipeline Templates

When you create a new pipeline, SAS Model Studio opens a window that you can use to select a template for your pipeline. Pipeline templates are typically distinguished by the models that are included. You can also view the list of all pipeline templates in The Exchange.

Any changes that you make to a pipeline can be saved as a template to The Exchange. This includes any models that you add to the pipeline and any changes to the settings, names, code, or descriptions that you apply to any of the models. To save a pipeline, click the menu icon on the pipeline tab and select Save to The Exchange. If you save a segmented pipeline to The Exchange, any customizations that you have made to the nested pipelines are not included in the parent pipeline.

Note: For projects that are imported from SAS Forecast Studio, the primary pipeline contains the Hierarchical Forecasting (Migrated) node. This pipeline should not be saved to The Exchange as a template. If this template is added to a project, the Hierarchical Forecasting (Migrated) node fails. That node is project-specific and works only in the project where it is first created.
