The middle pane shows the content of an item that is selected in the left pane. You can select the source data table, an attribute, an eventan incident that disrupts the normal flow of any process that generates the time series. Examples of events are holidays, retail promotions, and natural disasters., or a model.
When the time seriesan aggregation of transactional data into specified time intervals and sorted according to unique combinations of the default attributes (BY variables) data source is selected in the left pane, the Variable Name column is pinned in place on the left as you scroll the table to the right. However, if you hide the Variable Name column or move its position, the column does not stay in place, even if you return it to its original position. Select another tab in the project and then return to the Data tab to enable the Variable Name column to remain in place again. For more information about customizing the columns in a table see Working with Tables in SAS Model Studio in SAS Visual Forecasting: Overview.
The toolbar along the top of the pane provides the following actions.
For large lists of data, you can type into Filter to limit the table to a subset of the content. The filtera set of specified criteria that are applied to data in order to identify the subset of data for a subsequent operation, such as continued processing. matches the string that you enter to any string in the table. Filter is not case-sensitive.
Filter is
disabled if (View table) is selected.
Show the variables in the selected data source, their role assignments, and other properties. This is the default view for time series projects.
Some of the columns in the table can be sorted when you click on them.
Show the data source table, with the variables as column headings and the observations in each row.
This is the only view available for external forecasts unless you import attributes to the project. For more information, see Working with External Forecast Projects.
The columns in the table can be sorted when you click on them.
For Events, there is a drop-down menu that allows you to sort the event by Usage in System Generated Models (Do not use, Try to use, and so on).
When you select Models in the left pane, these icons are available at the top of the middle pane, over the list of models.
You can arrange and remove columns in the table, as described in Working with Tables in SAS Model Studio in SAS Visual Forecasting: Overview.
