Typographical Conventions

This book uses several type styles for presenting information. The following list explains the meaning of the typographical conventions that are used:

monospace bold

is used for action names, parameter names, and example code.

VariableName

is used for the names of variables, data tables, and data sets when they appear in text.

bold

is used for matrices and vectors.

italic

is used for terms that are defined in text, for emphasis, and for references to publications.
